Shilin night market
The Shilin Night Market is one of the well-organized and most popular night markets. It is separated into two major sections. One sector covers the streets surrounding the traditional Yangming Theatre and stretching to the Chicheng Temple on Danan Rd. The other sector is a centralized food court serving a wide variety of snacks that attract large crowds. At the Shilin Night Market, visitors can shop from store to store and have a large selection of clothes and accessories that they can bargain for reasonable prices.

Also a lot of the food vendors from Shilin Night Market are famous for their local flavors and are only available at the Shilin Night Market.Visitors are able to enjoy a wide range of local food, including Sausage Wrapped in Glutinous Rice, Stir-fried Squids, Oyster Omelets, Shilin Super Size Sausages, Ribs Stewed in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Shanghai Bun, Qinwaxiadan, Scallion Pancakes, Paopao Ice, Huge Chicken Cutlet, and many more.

Xiemending shopping area
Ximending used to be Taipei's theater district, but it is now also a hugely popular shopping area. Ximending is particularly impressive at night, when the huge square glows with massive LCD screens and bright neon lights that advertise the many stores and brands represented here.

Introduction:
Huahsi Street Night Market
Haushi Street Night Market is located nearby Lungshan Temple. The night market, together with night markets on Guangjou Street, Wujou Street and Shichen Street have formed a large unique market. Various commodities are sold here and it is one of the favored sites of tourists. A Chinese traditional post stands at the entrance of Haushi Street Night Market. Chinese traditional lamps are hung along the street. There are old, historical shops along the street that provide great dishes. For example, the tanszi noodle restaurant, the favorite of Japanese tourists, started its business here. Other great dishes like meat soup and squid soup attract many people. In the summer, chopped ice plates and fresh juice are in great demand. In the winter, dishes with Chinese medicine attract many visitors.

Taipei 101
With the grand opening of the office tower, TAIPEI 101 hosted an inauguration ceremony on December 31, 2004 to celebrate the start of a new era. The celebration reached its climax at night when the main tower was lit and fireworks were displayed to welcome the coming of 2005: a new year for Taipei 101 to shine.
